Door to Door . . .

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 13748

How long it took, neither of them could say. Finally though, they emerged from the portal.

Emerge into another world very much like the one they just left (a parallel Terra, as you guessed). A reality who's Allaria is facing a very similar peril with invasion.

Too bad this transformed couple doesn't know that. Might have been a good thing to pass on. Prepare the troops and all that stuff.

Instead, our two girls of prophecy?

They staggered and then looked around trying to remember who and where they were. Something nags at them, like they are not themselves (as it were) somehow. Of course, this is more true than they really ever will know (probably) but common sense and the powers of the transformation spell tells them that . . .

They were King Embron and Queen Jastina. Looked like them. Sounded like them. Dressed like them and when they (a bit miffed that their royal attendants have not come and attended them) walk into the throne rooms just as the "real" king and queen of Allaria walk in . . .

. . .

Yeah, and much confusion abounds. Accusations fly and calls of trickery and foul magic are shouted out by both sides (those who support the "real" queen and king and these look alikes). The reasons for support vary (currying for favor or true belief that "their" royals are actually the real thing).

As it turns out, before anything like blood can be drawn and a civil war breaks out (on top of the impending invasion!) it turns out that the "Two Girl's" prophecy strikes yet again.

. . .

You've probably read about it in other threads. Where a Fred and Belboz walked through that Transform Door and are turned (briefly) into male centaurs only to something like moments later have the magic of the prophecy turn them into female centaurs (and pretty ones at that).

Well, the false Queen Jastina (formerly Lord Fred) does not transform. Even though she is somewhat older than what she had been as Lord Fred as a man (not to mention a young teenage girl), she has aged well AND was thus still pretty "easy on the eyes".

No, the one who transforms is the false King Embrom (formerly Belboz the necromancer), right into the splitting image of Queen Jastina (whichever one you'd like to mention).

. . .

It doesn't help matters at all that the "new" false Queen Jastina insists that she is the real queen. That delightful side effect (courtesy of the "Two Girl" prophecy and the Transform Door) doesn't add anything positive to this fracas.

The pair is arrested and thrown into the dungeon for the King to decide to what to do with them later. The idea being that the court mage look at them and see just who they really are and what their intentions could be (maybe even who they worked for). However, when the invasion gets going the transformed kind of fall through the cracks.

This reality's Elaine did not get the pleasure of taking out his frustrations how life has treated him on the real queen and king of Allaria (they'd died from wounds received from overzealous Amazonians attempting to capture them in an escape).

However, when finding THESE two and magically determines who they had been . . . !

"What are you doing back?" he giggles, forcing the regally defiant women through yet another Transform Door.

THIS time to a place far, far away and MUCH different than what they haled from. The place is called Sir Todias and it is on a "modern", "20th century" Earth, supposedly. At least

  1. But there is more strangeness to be had here . . .
