"Well," said Julie, "I suppose I shouldn't be all that surprised. Given
everything else those people were willing to do, there's no reason to
imagine that they'd balk at lying to us about the amnesia cure." They looked at each other glumly for a moment. "I suppose there's always the possibility that our memories will come back on their own," said Stacy at last. "I have had a flash of memory or two." "Yeah," said Julie. "I wouldn't count on it, though, realistically." A pause. "So," she added, finally, "What do you think you'll do now?" "Well," Stacy replied, "Hooker mentioned that I have a sister... Unless he was lying about that, too. I suppose I'll try to find her, see if she can help me put the puzzle pieces of my life back together. You?" "I don't even know if I have any family," said Julie. Stacy was almost relieved when this depressing conversation was interrupted by an airport employee, who'd been sent to inform them that Falk had chartered them a flight back to New York, which would be leaving in an hour.
