Chris dug into his wallet and produced a card with the doctor's name,
address
and phone number on it. He was a Dr Neill, apparently. "I don't suppose you
happen to know when my next appointment is due?"
she asked. "As as matter of fact, I think you said it was tomorrow. I don't
recall the time, though." "I must keep a diary or an appointments book
somewhere, I suppose. Any idea where it might be?" "Wasn't it in your bag?"
"No." "That's odd. Normally you always kept it with you. I suppose it might
be on the top shelf of your bookcase." "I don't remember seeing it when I
looked there earlier, but I might have missed it as there were an awful
lot of papers
