"Really?" said Stacy. She felt hope flaring within her. Sure, Chris thought this doctor was a quack, but what reason, really, did she have to trust Chris' judgment? To trust Chris' judgment over her own, in fact?

"What's the name of this 'quack'?" she asked him. "Do you know where I'd have his phone number?"

Chris sighed. "Stacy, really, I don't think this guy's doing you any good..."

"Maybe not," she said, "but if I've already paid for two more appointments, I might as well get my money's worth. Right? I mean, what harm can it do?"

Chris sighed and relented, giving her the name of the doctor.
"I don't know," said Chris. "There were some... disturbing changes in you after you started seeing him..."
