Fred, Astra and Jarlath: Time Travelers?

"So we are now hundreds of years in the past?" Fred said. "It would appear so," Jarlath said. "But why?" Astra asked. "I thought Bel-Shamharoth was supposed to kill us, not to transport us into the past." "Maybe the Tetrilonians put the door there so that people would have a chance to escape before Bel-Shamharoth could get at them," Jarlath said. "But that's just a guess. For now, I suppose all we can do is follow the road to the city. It looks to me like about five miles."

As they set foot upon the road:

  1. They saw some travelers approaching.
  2. Astra shimmered back into visibility. "An anti-magic field must be built into the road," Jarlath explained. "I imagine they didn't want anything magical, that might pose a threat, getting into the city."
