The Never Ending Quest - Episode 13104

Scott couldn't believe what had just happened...he was on top of the world one moment and now he was back in the damned Tower! He had no clothes, he had no food, he had no luck. Scott was screwed and he knew it. Fred, on the other hand was only just beginning to realize it.

Fred awoke in complete darkness, there was a large clothe draped all about him. He arms ached, his legs hurt, and his head was pounding, but he managed to crawl from out of the cloth. Once he was free he couldn't believe his eyes. He was looking at a coat, yet it was large enough for one of the giants of old. Not only that, the stones and grasses and other plants all around him were immense...they were huge...they towered above the poor feral knight from Allaria. Fred knew the first item at hand was to discover where he was. He began to walk north, following the sun. He could see that the ground was mostly level and sparse. Grasses grew here and there, but not overly much. Everything was big...everything. He climbed atop a small hill so as to scan the area. When he did so he was shocked near to tears.

"By all that is holy! It can't be! It can't be!!!"

Fred looked to the west and he saw in the distance a Keep. It was incredibly large, big enough for giants. Yet Fred knew that there were no giants there, for the Keep was that of his mother's brother, Fred was staring at the Keep Semper! His mind swooned as did his heart. What could this mean...only one thing: The landscape was not big, Fred was small!!! He began to howl in anguish, and then shut himself up. Howl?!!?

In all the wierdness, in all this wretchedness, he had forgotten what his new body had become. How could he rejoin his family? Where could he go? Was there a way to become whole again? What of the madman and the Dragon?!!? His mind was fit to burst when all of a sudden a large glass appeared before him. Fred whirled and saw that he was surrounded by a thick glass, looking up showed more of the same. Then he saw a dark giant outside of the glass and felt something hard slide under his feet. Without any warning he felt himself lifted high and flipped upside down! He was in the hands of this giant, who wasn't a giant at all. Fred, the size of a doll, was now a prisoner within a glass jar.

The Doctor hummed to himself as he lifted the pint-sized foxman. "Well, well, well," he said to no one in particular. "It seems I've a new specimen to work with, oh, how Lily will be pleased. Soon I will be ready to show my work to Victor, but first I shall bring this little monster to my castle." And with that, this man put the jar holding Fred into a satchel, got onto his horse, and began the trek back to his home in the Duchy of Galatas which was north-east of Suffex.

  1. Fred is carried to an average castle with a very strange laboratory within.
  2. The Guard D'Honaire, while on a standard patrol about the noble brother-in-law's Keep, come across the Doctor and ask him some questions.
