the Being

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 13091

Fred was obviously not himself. After traveling nearly a whole month in the lands of Allaria, after hiking up the trecherous twisting passes of the Shreken, after finding and dispatching the dreaded dragon of the Southern caves, he sat down and ate some gold. Fred was obviously not himself.

Then the being seemed to coalesce from out of the shepherd-boy Velus. It looked human, sort of. Its glowing torso was almost see-through. Its skinny arms reached to the floor, and its legs seemed to gather as one at the base of the being.

"Hallo," it said in a strange and spooky voice.

That was enough for Fred. He unsheathed his sword and lunged at the being. The being floated away unharmed. The fact that the being could float made things difficult, the fact that Fred was beginning to suffer from indigestion (and wouldn't you after eating a soft metal like gold?!!?) didn't make anything easier.

The being just floated out of Fred's reach, Fred just glared at the being. Then Fred had an idea. if I pick up some gold and throw it beyond the being, it could ricochete off the back wall and hit it in the head...yeah!

  1. Does Fred attempt this daring yet preposterous course of action in the slim hopes of knocking the creature to the ground?
  2. Fred instead just walks away from the creature..."it" decides to follow, however.
