The Never Ending Quest - Episode 12856

When the TARDIS had finished materializing, the door opened and a dark-haired woman wearing an arrogant expression stepped out. She was carrying some kind of weapon. At the sight of the little group, she stopped, and gave them a malicious smile.

"The Rani," whispered Betty-1. "Looks like the Master was right."

The Master stepped forward, drawing herself up to her full height (which was rather less than it used to be), and managing to convey a surprising air of dignity and menace despite her delicate features. "So," she said. "You've come to gloat, have you?"

  1. The Rani looked at her blankly. "Who are you?"
  2. "My, my," said the Rani in a mocking voice. "This is even more amusing than I had hoped."
  3. "Gloat? No, actually, I came for a much more specific purpose..."
