Yuppers. Kitchen. Andrea figured that the stairway she went up must have been the way the servants entered the main area without disturbing the nobles. The first part of the kitchen was very wide. It was rectangular, with the doors Andrea entered in the middle of one of the longer sides. Preperation tables, seven of them, stood side by side. They were old and solid and very large, imposing structures that looked as if they could be dinner tables themselves, with the addition of a fancy tablecloth. Each one had an array of shelving below, filled with all manner of dusty bric-a- brac. Spidewebs filled all but two of the ways past the tables. Many rusted, dirty utensils lined the shorter walls. The far side of this area had four sets of double doors. Wooden, with windows up high. Lady Andrea could not see past any of them for it was dark and the windows were dirty. More racks filled the spaces between the doors. These held nothing. As she looked, a rack squeaked and fell to the floor. Lady Andrea contemplated this situation.
