Astra Has Amnesia

Fred felt Astra's pulse. It was strong and steady, though a nasty bruise
had appeared just above her left eyebrow. He felt for a fracture, but there
was no sign of one. The lake and the shore now seemed
deserted, but Fred was reluctant to leave Astra whilst she was unconscious.
On the other hand, the longer he delayed, the more chance there was of
something nasty
happening to Chakotay and Velus.
Then Astra's eyes flickered open. "I'm glad you're all right, Astra," Fred said. "Wait here till I come back. Chakotay and Velus have been captured, and I'm going to try to rescue them." With that, he dived into the lake before she could reply, and employing a powerful crawl he headed for the outflow from the lake. Astra shook her head, trying to clear it. Where was she? Who was that man? Who were Chakotay and Velus? Come to that, who was she? Astra, the man had called her, but the name meant nothing to her. She realised that her amnesia was total.
