Well, that was a bit of luck, Stacy thought. Perhaps now she could find
out why
she, with a doctorate in science, was working in the National History
Museum.
She opened the door, and to her surprise discovered that there were dust-
covers over everything.
Then she remembered. She had been told when she entered the building that
it was about
to close down whilst major renovation work took place. Somewhere, she
supposed, she
had a temporary office in another building. Looking under the dust-covers,
as she expected
she found just bare furniture. Everything easily moveable - books, files,
her PC (assuming
she had one) - had been taken away.
Damn! she thought. I finally get lucky and find my office, only to discover it was all a waste of time. I suppose I'll have to try to find my way back to the entrance, and ask them where my office has been moved to. Just as she was about to leave, though:
