The man smiled modestly. "Oh, Doctor, you're too kind." He returned his attention to Stacy, and began asking her a few pointed questions about the nature and onset of her amnesia. Stacy answered him truthfully, in as much detail as she knew. She was still a little doubtful, but she'd come to trust the Doctor -- well, more or less -- and if he said this guy was all right, he was probably all right. She hoped.

When she had finished answering his questions, he said:

1. "All right. Why don't we get started at once?"
2. "Hmm, this is a rather unusual case. I'm afraid it's likely to take a considerable amount of study."
3. "Yes, I think I can help you, young woman. But first, the matter of my fee..."
4. "I say, is that android over there a friend of yours? He seems to be looking right at you?"
