Dense forest

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 12086

The forest was so thick that there wasn't much undergrowth as the sun had trouble reaching it.
Astra, now armed with a thick branch, ventured southwards as that is where the king's castle was. She had visited it many times and was a welcome guest. (Her parents efforts had averted a possible war between the two countries and King Emry was smart enough and noble enough to understand this).
Velus followed along, keeping an eye and ear and nostril out for any sign of Lord Fred.
The normal sights and sounds of the forest would have been enjoyable to the two. The cool wind, the birds, the leaves waving, the sun rays breaking through the canopy... Suddenly...

  1. a bird suprises Velus.
  2. three kids emerge from a tunnel (it had been behind a thick tree). They were about ten. Koji and Takuya, two males. And Zoe, a girl dressed in ugly purple.
  3. They find a sword, jammed into the dirt. It is a fine sword, with gilded edges and the runes of blessing by the Order Of Sword Blessers.
