  1. She succeeded in leaving the cave system and making her way back to the King's palace.
  2. But during her return journey she ran into trouble.
  3. Perhaps Belboz did have a sense of shame after all, as he rather grumpily called out after her: "All right, get down off your high horse. I'll come with you."
  4. The layout of the caves was confusing, and Joan couldn't find the exit.
