So enraged and griefstricken was Vodirk at the death of his new bride that he fought with a ferocity which won the Warrior Clan overwhelming victory within the hour. Folcrada's body was immediately borne back to the clan she had only just become a part of. The shaman began to prepare her for burial, painting the traditional symbols across her body and clothing her in the traditional garments. Vodirk was meanwhile torturing the Longrunner prisoners they had taken, fueled by continuing rage. But when the shaman beckoned her over, he came to her, taking her hand and kissing it tenderly.
