Escape was really not so difficult. She was still early enough in her pregnancy that she was quite fit enough to climb over some of the other pigs - much as they didn't like it - and get herself over the fence. And with that, she took off running, carrying her precious cargo. She had no idea where she was, and was a lone pig wandering in the wilderness. It was very dangerous and she was, unfortunately, quite aware of how practically impossible it would be to find any help for herself. At least foraging was easy enough. She ambled through the trees, stopping to eat very frequently, and even simply root around in the dirt, nudging her snout until it was all torn up. For whatever reason she found this practice comforting. She would seek out a nice safe place to sleep at night, and then keep moving come morning. She tried not to think about the fact that she was to become a mother very soon, and of piglets, no less. Everything was so completely different from the life she'd been born into - and yet, by now, so completely familiar. She often caught herself thinking that, if she were to find a safe place to live with her piglets, maybe that would be an acceptable end to her tale. Maybe Sir Fred was gone for good. Still, she wanted so badly to know what had become of her kingdom in her absence. Her parents, her sister, her friends. Her fellow knights. Everyone in Allaria, really - and, of course, the dragon. Was it still active? What if it wasn't? If it wasn't, and she had no quest to hurry back to... then maybe she could accept that finding someone to restore her wasn't possible. She could stop this charade. But she just had to know. After a few weeks, the pig - who in fact still found it more natural to think of herself as Hannah - found
