Cinnamon might have screamed if she could, as her bones began to crack and pop. Her beautiful hair began to fall out in clumps, and what remained became greasy and stringy. Warts erupted all over her face, and her nose grew out by half an inch, becoming long and hooked. Her teeth yellowed and rearranged themselves, ending up horrifically crooked and gappy. Her soft skin became creased and mottled, and she felt her fingers and toes elongate, becoming boney and gnarled. She grabbed at her own face, her mouth agape in horror, and, not paying much attention, let the hag take Nina. Cinnamon glanced around wildly for a way to see herself, which the hag graciously provided in the form of a small hand mirror. The poor once-beautiful woman looked in horror, and immediately began to sob silently at her own appearance. "There, there," said the hag, patting her crooked back. "You've been cured of your beauty. Now it is time for your new life to begin. I shall teach you to command great power, and one day, you will teach your daughter as well.
