Rick didn't trust Belboz, but he would do anything for his dear missing friend, and it certainly seemed impossible to convince or force the powerful wizard to do anything he didn't want to. He came to the man's home, and met the goblins he'd be training, as well as Belboz's beautiful wife, Annabella. She was clearly completely enamored of him, but she also looked at Rick with such sad eyes. "Be very careful," Belboz warned dangerously as Rick looked at her for the first time. He got to work training the goblins - not an easy thing, because Belboz was not a particularly reasonable man and Rick quickly found that he'd have to keep requests to a minimum. He was ever keeping an eye out for any hint of Fred, but he had no idea what he was looking for. In the meantime, Belboz had ordered Annabella, "In case it wasn't already crystal clear, you are not to make any sort of insinuation towards your old life. Not to him, or at all. That part of you is dead, and you know it." "You're... you're not actually going to send me away when he's finished, are you?" she asked, her voice shaking. The thought of being separated from Belboz made her feel faint. Belboz smirked. "Of course not. Don't concern yourself with such things. You are mine. You will always be mine." And so Annabella went through her days assured that she would remain here, but worried sick about what would become of Rick when his job was done.
