She found herself waking up nestled in the bed she shared with Belboz. He was sitting near her, and as he saw her stir, he scoffed, "I should have known you'd be useless. You've disappointed me, darling." "I'm sorry, my cherished one," she said, her eyes welling up with tears. He sighed. "No, I should have known better. After all, what kind of a woman would you be, successfully training a horde of disgusting goblins to wield weapons? You belong in the home, cooking and cleaning." He shook his head, and suddenly perked up as an idea seemed to occur to him. "But perhaps you can still help me. You knew knights, back in your old life. Who among them was best suited to a task like this?" Leaping at the opportunity to make up for her failure, she eagerly and immediately began scanning her memories for an appropriate answer, and after a moment said, "Sir Ricardo O'Farrell." "Ricardo," he repeated. She nodded. "Rick. My best friend. He's always been a marvelous..." She faltered, suddenly realizing why he must be asking. "A... a marvelous teacher..." Belboz was smiling pleasantly. "Perfect," he said, and kissed her on the cheek, leaving her glowing, her happiness at having pleased him overcoming her trepidation. Later that very day, Belboz made his move, and it took precious little time for Sir Rick to be whisked away to the tunnel system Belboz called home. Of course, he had to get Rick to cooperate somehow...
