The Never Ending Quest - Episode 118307

Bella felt a strange stretching sensation tugging at her mouth, her teeth, her tongue. Phelyp and Nate appeared perturbed as they watched, but they weren't saying what was happening, so she frantically ran to the mirror and took a look just as the changes were completing.

Her mouth was huge, and her facial structure had changed to accommodate! She opened it experimentally, and found it large enough to put an apple inside and close it comfortably! Tears trembled in her eyes upon seeing how ridiculous and off-putting she looked, and she promptly collapsed into silent sobs over her lost beauty.

"What happened?" Nate demanded.

"I'm not sure!" replied Phelyp in bewilderment. "I must have gotten something very wrong. She looks ridiculous!"

Hearing these words from her beloved made Bella cry even harder. She did so, in fact, until she fell asleep, exhausted, about an hour later. As she did, Phelyp pulled out some spare fabric and began working on a veil she could use to cover the lower half of her face. As he worked, he said to Nate,

  1. "You should take her to visit an old acquaintance of mine, a witch named Mezzabel. The journey is long and perilous, but she will surely be able to help." "With the voice, or the mouth?" "I imagine both. I hope both."
  2. "I'm sorry I've failed so completely. You should just take her with you. Marry her, cure her, I don't care. I wash my hands of this matter."
  3. "Just leave, sir knight. We've not said anything to you yet, but we intend to marry, so all her problems are my responsibility."
