Fred. It seems it's true." Fred, overwhelmed, began to weep at once. "Please stop that though." Arahim offered her a kerchief. "It does seem the transformation was a bit more than physical. I've never known a knight to cry as much in ten years as you have in the last few hours." Fred accepted the kerchief, but his words pushed her into full-blown sobbing. "Stop!" cried Arahim, whose bedside manner was lacking. "I shall report these findings to the royal guard, and look into a solution, but finding one seems unlikely. I cannot believe Belboz had such incredible power, that he kept it secret for all that time... or that you, in this form, were the one to do him in." Fred sniffled. She still had mixed feeligns about that fact. On the one hand, he had been an evil, dangerous man, and the world was a little safer for being rid of him. On the other, it really did seem that she had sealed her own fate by killing him. "All right, Fred. I'll put some people on research duty, but to be honest, really honest, it's practically hopeless. This is your new life. I'll arrange for you to stay in the castle for a few days while you decide what you want to do with it." Fred wept. She wept and wept, for herself and everything she'd lost.
