Unfortunately, it was a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy: Arahim expected to see a certain result, so that is what he saw. He could have dug deeper, and had at least some hope of seeing through Belboz's powerful enchantment, but he had never known a wizard to be powerful enough to require such deep digging, so he didn't try. At last, he sat back, rubbing his face. "Just as I thought. A mad young wench. I'm sorry, my dear, but this... it's all in your head."
