The wizard's name was Rubus, and he started the encounter by sitting on top of Lilith's remains to rest. It was not until he had finished his snack and was taking a few moments just to vegetate that he realized he was sensing the faded remains of a mind within the earth beneath him. He got up and frantically began to study the site. Unfortunately, he was not skilled enough to teleport—if he were, it would have been unlikely he'd ever happen upon this place at all!—but he noted the location to himself with the intent of returning when possible to gather up the soil. And, though it took a few months, during which Lilith's mind continued to die, he did! With a wheelbarrow, no less! He gathered up all the dirt in the area, including some that had never been Lilith, and brought it to the nearest road, where a horse-drawn cart was waiting for him. And thus he began the journey back to his home. Rubus, of course, had a plan on what to do with this strangely pseudo-conscious soil. He would...
