Walking on only two legs seemed very strange at first, and several times she almost fell, but before long she became accustomed to being bipedal once more. She had brushed away the worst of the dirt and dead leaves, but hadn't had the heart to do the same with the roaches. But over time, most of them lost their grip and fell off.
Having no idea where she was, she headed through the forest in a random direction. After an hour or two, she came across a dirt road that looked as if it was fairly well-travelled. She took it, hoping that before too long it would lead her to civilisation. She felt nervous about what might happen once she encountered people, though. After all, she was naked. She was also starting to feel hungry, but she had no money to buy either clothes or food. Before long she encountered a young couple walking in the opposite direction. That they were on foot suggested that a village shouldn't be too far away.
