He quickly waved his hand again after they appeared in his workshop, changing the now ill-fitting dress into something more appropriate for a creature of her new shape. She was beginning to return to awareness, and her movements quickly became characterized by panic as she realized the changes she had undergone. She attempted to speak, but it came out as a raspy chirp. Belboz waved his hand a third time, putting the sad knight-turned-princess-turned- semi-sparrow into a deep sleep. He owed it to her to try to reverse this as quickly as possible, but, he thought shamefully, that seemed almost impossible. Fey magic was a thing of its own, and the only ones who truly understood it were fey themselves. But he had gotten her into this, and he must at least try to get her out.
