"Of course I'm not going to cut it off!" Fred said. "I just want to touch it with the flat of the blade of my sword. It's made of steel, which is an alloy of iron. And it is well known that shapeshifters and the like cannot abide the touch of iron." "I'd not heard that," the princess said. "But if it will make you happy..." Saying which, she held out her arm, and Fred tapped it lightly with the blade of his sword.
