A simple test

"Hold out your arm, milady."

It was a request, but barely so. There was something of the command about the words, and Sir Fred's sword was at the ready.

The princess raised her eyebrows and her eyes seemed to show that she was prepared to be very angry.

"I hope you do not intend any outrage to the body of a princess royal, Lord Fred."

"This is a dangerous place milady," Fred answered. "I need to be sure that you are human and not some weird shapeshifting horror set here as a trap by the Dragon."

1. The princess refuses to hold out her arm.
2. The princess holds out her arm.
