It was a simple home, lashed together out of twigs, leaves, and bird feathers, and by no means waterproof. Presently Silvyr appeared, and when he saw that she was awake, he unsheathed a knife and sneered, "Welcome to our new home, my love. I found another fairy colony, far away from Blueleaf. There are actually humans in this area, so at least I can be near them. I'll be much happier here. And you will be my doting wife." But Silvyr wasn't her love... Taurill was her beloved, her forever, and soon she felt a terrible ache growing in her chest as she realised how far away from him she was. He must be feeling it too. Eventually it would kill them both. Silvyr clearly saw her rejection of his plan, and came forward, poising the tip of the knife above her swollen abdomen. "You'd do well to cooperate... for the sake of our child." She couldn't run; he'd catch her. She couldn't resist; this child was Taurill's, and she'd die for it. She nodded in acceptance, and he cut her bonds and removed her gag. She hated Silvyr, but she had to pretend to love him. She met the other fairies in the colony, and felt like everything she said and did was an act. Because much of it was. Her glow began to fade, but they couldn't tell it was because she was apart from her beloved, because that was a symptom of several illnesses. She was constantly miserable, missing Taurill with all her heart. The colony was just inside the border of a forest, and just outside that border was a human village. They walked among each other often, but did not share a language. Months passed. She was about ready to pop, when
