By this point, Frita was just a few months from giving birth. She hadn't been flying much lately for this reason. One night, she woke up, feeling incredibly groggy, and found she could not recall going to sleep.

She presently realised her limbs were bound, including her wings, and she was being carried by Silvyr! "This is all your fault," he hissed at her. "You've taken me away from everything I know; now I do the same to you. Unless you want to change me back?"

Frita tried to form words, but her mind was moving so slowly, and she promptly lost consciousness again.

The next time she woke up, she was

  1. alone, surrounded by wooden crates and the sound of the sea.
  2. being watched by Silvyr, in an unfamiliar forest.
  3. still bound, now gagged as well, in a fairy abode.
