As all of Hannah's fears had just been removed from her, any trepidation she may have felt at this command was nullified. Dutifully and without question or hesitation, she turned and began to walk.

It did not take long to reach the center of the tiny island. Once she reached the swirling pool at its very heart, something compelled her to kick off her sandals and go stand in the center. The water came up to her waist, lapping at the tip of her braid. The minutes stretched on, but she waited dutifully for whatever Tihena had promised would happen.

  1. Slowly, over the course of about an hour, her body began to solidify into rock. When the process was complete, she had become a slab of stone with a stylized image of a woman engraved into either side.
  2. Finally, and abruptly, her body dissolved into water and she joined the pool, her spirit taking on patronage of the entire island.
