Freda's Quest: Day Two

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 116201

Relieved that nothing undesirable had come of the wardrobe venture, Freda set out to search for the exit. This endeavor took several more hours, and by the time she finally took a step outside - her first in years - night was gathering. She swallowed in fear as she started down the hill and into the trees.

She tried to think of how fortunate she was to be human. A human was by far the best form to hope for if she wanted to get help. But this body was so unfamiliar, so alien. She couldn't wait to just be a simple cow again.

Presently she had to stop and rest, exhausted from the emotional toil of the day. She slept under a large tree and was startled when she woke up to daylight. Cows only needed four hours of sleep. She hadn't slept this long since... since she hadn't been a cow.

She then realized

  1. she had to press onward, since, because she needed so much sleep, she'd have even less time than she thought to find help before Belboz's return.
  2. she was no longer under the tree. She was propped in a sitting position inside a tent, tied securely to a post!
