Dalamar's beloved was called Talia, and she was an ordinary human woman. So he thought he'd really impress her with the gift of a fairy, part of a matching set even, and he was right. She took Frita home and set her in the middle of her kitchen table, while Dalamar took Arion out of storage to set his jar in the same place in his own home.

However, Frita and Arion were eternally bound, and had sworn an unbreakable oath never to leave each other [115649], so their forced separation had severe consequences.

  1. They both began to grow very sick, and were slowly dying even as they slept.
  2. They both transformed into ugly goblin-like creatures, and their bond was broken.
  3. Dalamar and Talia were cursed.
  4. Fairies were drawn to the area to correct the situation.
