"Please!" Arion cried. "Help her! I'll do anything you want!" "There's nothing I want from you that I couldn't just take," Dalamar said, producing a magnifying glass and beginning to inspect Frita through it. Arion desperately pounded on the glass, trying to appeal to whatever he had to in order to get his beloved the help she needed, but the sorcerer ignored him. It wasn't too long before Frita began to stir. As soon as Dalamar realized this, with a sigh he took out another jar and placed her inside. Arion stared at her destroyed wing through two layers of glass, and began to weep. She was awake soon enough, and after learning of the situation and realizing her wing was still damaged beyond hope of use, she naturally began to weep as well, pressing her hands against the glass, looking at Arion in search of comfort. He wished more than anything simply to be able to hold her. Dalamar studied them using means neither of them understood for the remainder of the day. Shortly before he retired to bed, he materialized small berries in each of their jars, and left them, turning off all the lights. When they were alone, Frita said, her voice hoarse and empty, "I'm so sorry, Arion. We... we never should've come here." "Don't worry, morning glow," he said, trying to remain strong for her. "We will get out of here, and go back home, and I will carry you for the rest of my life. You will never want for anything." Frita, for her part, could no longer remember why she'd wanted to find these stupid human countries anyway. She felt like the information was still there in her mind, somewhere, but all she could think of was her life in Blueleaf, flying about the trees, dancing with Arion. She never should have given that up. She would have done anything to go back and live the rest of her days there. Dalamar studied them for weeks. They were not his top priority, and they spent most of their time sitting on shelves. They were never released from their jars at the same time, and when they were let out at all Dalamar placed precautions - holding Arion by his wings, and securing their limbs with magic, or just flat-out putting them to sleep with a quick spell.
