And thus, Muriel became a gorgeous Arabian horse, while Hannah became the most adorable Falabella. He stabled them quickly, and left them their knowledge of their former selves, but also impressed upon them a contentment with what had happened to them. Belboz did as Belboz did, and Belboz always knew best, so they were perfectly in docile, mellow acceptance of this change.

Hannah was far too small to ride, so Belboz would go out on Muriel. Her strong legs carried him far and wide while Hannah frolicked alone in his enclosed fields.

  1. Eventually he decided he liked a solitary, free life on the back of a horse, at least for now, and probably for a while. Hannah wasn't contributing anymore, so he sold her.
  2. Eventually he decided he liked horseback riding quite a bit, but he should like somebody at his side as he did it. So he restored Muriel, transforming Hannah into a larger horse, and resolved to seek out a new victim to turn into a mount for Muriel.
