Of course, Susie has been going in no direction in particular, just away from the orphanage, and so initially this seems to be no great inconvenience. She thinks on it, and curiously is not sure whether she can swim. She decides to

  1. attempt to swim across. She is instantly swept up by the current.
  2. attempt to swim across. In the dead center of the stream, something drags her under.
  3. attempt to swim across. She succeeds!
  4. just walk along the stream for now.
  5. have a drink. This gives unforeseen and very strange results.
