The chase through the museum.

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 11482

Apparently adrenaline overcame the effects of the drug.

Stacy and the girl were swiftly pursued through the history museum. Stacy followed on her path, wanting to protect her and deciding any path was good since she had no idea where she was going.

The girl apparently did have an idea. She leapt over bannisters with grace and style. She headed for specific doors. She ran up certain flights of stairs.

In a curving passageway lined with Eskimo exhibits, Stacy finally gets up enough energy to speak. "You were drugged!" she said.

"Institute...gave me a capsule...designed as a wisdom tooth." the girl said. They turned a corner.

The girl shoved Stacy ahead of her, into a dark room.

"Help me shove this thing!" she said. Stacy helped her shove a fridge sized object in front of the door. As she stepped back, her eyes finally acclimated, showing it to be a Pepsi vending machine.

The girl held a finger to her lips. Stacy was quiet. The door rattled. It moved. Someone spoke. "They must have gone this way! All the doors are locked."

The girl smiled, then made a twirly motion around one temple. Stacy couldn't help smiling too.

They waited sixty seconds.

"All right!" Stacy hissed. "What's going on?"

"I'm Special Agent Lee Adams, FBI, Cult Division. I've been investigating the possibillity of artifacts here being used in rituals. There's some evidence ancient vials of chemicals had been discovered in dozens of pieces and are being used in illegal ways. Well, there's proof now. Thanks for saving me, whoever you are."

"Stacy."

  1. "What now?" says Stacy.
