The Doctor smiled, and waved his hand back and forth in front of the
android's glassy stare. The mechanical man failed to bat an eyelash. The
Doctor's grin grew broader. Seeing Stacy's look of puzzlement, he pulled
some sort of electronic gadget out of his pocket. "Quantum
neutralizer beam," he explained. "Scrambles their positronic circuits."
"Oh," said Stacy. But she hesitated slightly as he began to pull her towards the door. "You haven't... hurt him, have you?" It was just that he'd seemed such a nice, polite robot. And after all, Stacy mused, he'd only been doing his job... The Doctor gave her a look that said he approved of her question, and patted her reassuringly on the shoulder. "No, he'll be fine once we're out of range. Although he might not remember the last ten minutes or so." And with that, he threw open the door and ushered Stacy in.
