Instead of sitting around and hearing Josh's potential inanity, Beth picks up the legal summons and stands up. "No, Josh," she says as she begins to leave the living room.

"What? This is a great plan!" protests Josh.

Beth stops at the doorway and looks at Josh. "Listen, Josh, I know you better than anyone else. Every single one of your so-called 'brilliant ideas' involve seducing someone we might be having a problem with. It's not going to work this time, idiot!"
"But you won't listen to me! I really have a good idea!"
"We've dated for many years, Josh, and it's never worked once! Why do you insist on running with this stupid idea, Josh? Tell me, is it me? Am I not providing you with something that you keep thinking that seducing other people is somehow the ultimate solution for our problems!? I think you've been hanging around Scott for too long, Josh. How many women did he sleep with until he started dating Krissy? Thousands! I'm starting to wonder if you're somehow jealous of him!"

Josh falls quiet as Beth leaves the room...

1. Josh gets up and chases after Beth.
2. Beth suddenly returns to the living room. "Okay, Josh, let's hear it!" she says in a resigned tone.
3. Looks like it's another night of sleeping on the couch for Josh!
