Fred pulled out the pieces of clothing and struggled into them. To complete the ensemble he selected the sturdiest pair of shoes he saw (a pair of hiking boots). He thought he might be beginning to come down from his high, but everything still felt very strange and warped to him.

  1. He realized he had taken too long when he turned around and saw a shirtless man standing in the doorway.
  2. He heard somebody approaching and quickly opened the window. He immediately regretted his clothing choice as heat blasted him in the face, but there was no time to change. He fell outside and started to run.
