Dressing Up Before Going Down

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 113321

There was a room on the the Maelstrom set aside for clothing with a wide variety of styles. Stacy picked out a comfortable looking t-shirt. Astra pulled it from her hands and handed her a teeny-tiny see-though mesh vest.

"This will barely cover my bra," said Stacy.

"I was hoping you weren't going to wear a bra," said Astra, walking behind a rack of clothes, stripping off her leather bikini as she went.

Stacy looked through a rack of coats and picked a rugged fur lined leather jacket.

Astra came out from around the corner wearing a costume that amounted to several strips of white cord that barely covered her groin and showed a generous amount of under-boob.

"What do you think?" asked Astra holding her hands wide.

"I think it looks like your wearing bandages and nothing else," said Stacy.

"Okay," said Astra and she ducked around the corner again.

Stacy went through a pile of garments and pulled out a sensible pair of heavy duty trousers that looked about the right size.

Astra came round the corner again, this time wearing fishnet tights, black high heel boots and what looked like a swimsuit but with transparent hard plastic casings around the breasts.

"That's ridiculous," said Stacy.

"What?" said Astra looking down at the suit.

"Well for one thing your nipples are on display."

Astra put her hands protectively over two plastic casings.

"And for another you're wearing high heels."

Astra looked at Stacy with puppy-dog eyes.

"Astra, you're already like six foot tall. You're just going to look like some weird drag queen or something, towering over everyone, not to mention the practical implications. I mean god forbid that you have to run."

Astra slowly clip-clopped back round the corner, head bowed.

"I'm off for a shower or something," said Stacy. "Just try to pick something sensible."

Stacy wandered off and found one of the crew quarters. It was equipped with an ensuite bathroom so she quickly showered and got dressed in her new clothes. She held her bra in one hand and the infeasibly small mesh vest in the other. "Damn you Astra," she said and threw away the bra and squeezed into the vest. She slipped her leather jacket over the top and, even though the vest was basically see through and her boobs were spilling out the sides, she decided to be brave and didn't zip it up, for now at least.

She made her way back to the teleport room and Astra was there waiting for her. She was standing leaning against a wall, her head bowed, her face hidden by the brim of a battered brown hat with just her red hair flowing out of the side. She had a long tweed overcoat that came down to below her knees and had her hands thrust into her pockets. Around her neck was wound the longest scarf Stacy had ever seen.

"I know I said wear something practical," said Stacy with her hands on her hips, "but this is just silly. You look like an old man."

"I'm older than your think," said Astra putting on a deep eerie voice. "I walk in eternity." She lifted her hat and threw her head back, posing dramatically. "I am Astra. An adventurer in space and time."

Just at that moment Carl came in the room and stopped dead in his tracks.

"Only kidding," said Astra. She threw off the scarf and coat to reveal a black skin-tight body suit with an open back and revealing holes along the legs. She picked up a short silver jacket and threw it on. "I think I've worked out the teleport controls," she said gesturing to the control panel.

Stacy went over the the large desk and looked at the dazzling array of controls.

"This section controls destination. This one teleports people back on board. There are communication controls over here. You need to wear one of these." She pulled a hoop from a rack at the side of the console. She clicked it open and then attached it to her wrist.

Stacy picked one up and put it on.

"It tells the teleporter where you are," said Astra.

"A teleport bracelet," said Stacy. "Stylish and functional. What does this button do?"

"Press it and see," said Astra.

Stacy pressed the button and a there was a loud beep and a lamp started flashing on the console.

"It alerts the ship and opens a communication channel to the ship."

"And then Zen will bring us back," said Stacy.

"Err, no actually," said Carl. "I asked him about that and it seems that he cannot control the teleporter."

Astra nodded. "Carl's going to have to stay on the ship and operate the controls."

"Okay," said Stacy, "so we go over there, talk to them nicely and teleport back at the first sign of trouble."

"Yes, basically," said Astra.

"Bascially?"

"Yes, what you said, but with more guns."
