Prasgoth squinted at the parchment, and nodded. "Very well then. Pleased to meet you, Frieda." Frieda inclined her head in acknowledgement. "Now, you likely have other questions, but I think we should postpone them until the hex on Loreena has worn off and he has chosen a name. Then we can all sit together and go through it all at once. Sound good?" Frieda supposed she didn't have much choice, but she nodded. "Excellent. I have some errands to run, but while I do, and while the enchantment on Loreena wears off, feel free to rest; I suspect you are quite tired." Frieda was, in fact, and promptly retired to the room Prasgoth indicated, which was stuffed with extravagant couches, pillows, and blankets. It was a few hours later that she woke up, stretched languidly, and made her way back to the main area of the tower, where she found the knight from earlier sitting at a table with Prasgoth. "There you are," said the wizard, beckoning her over. "Come meet your partner. Loreena has perhaps predictably chosen the name 'Lawrence.' I suppose I don't know what your name was, so you may very well have simply chosen a female derivative of it; you weren't called some form of 'Frederick,' were you? Never mind, don't tell me, it doesn't matter much anyway." Frieda regarded Lawrence with jealousy. He was a tall, strong knight, very similar in build to the way she had been before Belboz had changed her. She could see Lawrence looking at her in much the same way. "Pleased to meet you," the knight said after a short pause, voice timid. "Prasgoth tells me Belboz took your voice. I'm very sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel any better, he didn't stop at just turning me into a man, either.
