Look, it's Revenant!

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 113012

The Solidarity space marines marched Stacy and Astra down the corridor.

"This is all just a misunderstanding," said Astra. She tried to turn to face the soldiers but she just earned a rough push on the shoulder.

"Keep it moving," said the soldier.

"Can't my friend here even pick up some clothes?" said Astra. "Look at her she's all boobs and butt."

"I said keep it moving," said the soldier, nudging her in the back with his rifle muzzle.

Astra shrugged and then looked back over her shoulder. "Oh look. It's Revenant!"

Both soldiers looked over their shoulder but there was nobody there. Astra turned to face the soldier behind her and grabbed his rifle. She didn't take it from him but just directed it sideways and pulled the trigger. A blast of blue-white plasma shot into the other soldier, slamming him into the bulkhead.

Astra and the soldier wrestled for control of the rifle and he pushed her onto her back and aimed the gun at her. "Aqualarian scum."

There was a bright flash as another plasma bolt was discharged. The soldier was blasted back, killed instantly. Astra saw that Stacy had picked up a rifle, a trail of smoke curling from its muzzle.

"Good shot," said Astra picking up a rifle.

"Not bad for someone who's all boobs and butt, huh?" Stacy gave Astra a wink.

Astra looked over Stacy's shoulder and said, "Look, it's Revenant!"

"Yeah, that was a nice distraction."

"No! It really is Revenant!"

Stacy looked over her shoulder and saw that black armored form of Lord Revenant striding confidently towards them, drawing a large pistol from a holster.

Stacy and Astra just manage to throw themselves round a corner as a volley of shots exploded into the wall.

"Follow me," shouted Astra, "There should be an elevator down here."

Stacy ran after her at full speed. Astra came to a sudden stop and Stacy almost crashed into her. Astra slammed a button and a sliding door opened. Stacy looked over her shoulder and saw Revenant round the corner before they dived into the elevator. Astra operated the controls sending them shooting up.

"You're a wiz with those sliding doors," said Stacy.

"Thank you for noticing," said Astra.

"So you have a plan?" asked Stacy.

"I certainly do," said Astra.

"Good, I like a good plan," said Stacy. "Care to tell me what it is?"

"There's a docking bay at the center of the station. With any luck there will be a ship we can steal."

"And if there isn't one?" asked Stacy.

"I'm hoping there is."

"Okay. And you know how to fly a space ship?"

"No," said Astra, "but how hard can it be?"

"So that's the plan?"

"Verily."
