Astra operated the outer door control by turning a large handle.
It triggered an automated message which had a child's voice. "WARNING - You are in a gravity environment simulated by a rotating frame. Please familiarize yourself with rotational mechanics before proceeding." "We don't have time for that," said Astra pushing the proceed button. There was a hiss and then silence as the door opened revealing the blackness of space. The voice spoke again this time coming through the suit intercom system. "Keep attached to rail at all times." Astra used a carabina on the end of an extendable line attached her belt. She hooked it onto a rail that started in the doorway. Stacy found the connector on her own suit and hooked in as well. "Ready?" asked Astra. Stacy saw her lips moving but the sound of her voice come through the suits intercom. Stacy nodded and took Astra's outstretched hand. They stepped out through the airlock door and immediately felt themselves fly off to the left. Stacy let out a shriek of surprise and terror as they fell away from the station. Suddenly their lines caught them with a jolt. And they just hung their like a pair of fish on a line, clinging to each other. "How did we fall?" asked Astra. "I thought there was no gravity in space." "Did you familiarize yourself with rotational mechanics before proceeding?" "No," said Astra. "It was probably something to do with that then," said Stacy. Above them they saw the space station. Off to the side of the station loomed a dark grey cruiser shaped like a knife, the aptly named Dark Blade. One of the station's turrets at it's center was leaking smoke but otherwise seemed undamaged. "Funny," said Astra, "The damage doesn't seem so bad from out here." They pulled themselves up their lines and back to the station. The made their way along the outside, keeping hold of the rail and made it into the next airlock. Once inside Astra led the way back to the gateway. The door slid open and they were met by a squad of soldiers in white space suits. "Hold it right there!" said one of them, leveling his gun at them. "You are now prisoners of The Solidarity."
