Though Fred was highly embarrassed, he found it impossible to look away. Eventually, after what seemed like an age to him but was probably only thirty seconds, she was finished, the look of strain on her face being replaced by one of blissful comfort. "That's so much better," she said.

Fred found it difficult to meet her gaze, and so looked at the ground instead. The trouble with that was that he found himself looking at the quite substantial golden puddle between her widespread feet, which was only very slowly being absorbed by the sandstone that made up the floor of the cave.

1. "Well you've seen me pee," Melissa said rather acerbically, "so now there's nothing stopping you going off to kill the dragon, if that's really what you've set your heart on."
2. "I've no longer any reason to send you away," Melissa said. "So if you'd like to hang around for a while, I'd be glad of the company."
3. At that point, the dragon entered the cave to check up on Melissa's well-being.
