Escape to the Country

She leaped out and suddenly Stacy was high above the city, supported only by the Brigadier's strong arm. The rope was attached to a helicopter that hovered overhead. They were hauled up and moments later they were inside the helicopter flying out of the city.

"They called me a skin," shouted Stacy, barely audible over the noise of the chopper.

"That's what they call us," said the Brigadier. "We believe that we are not meant to be furry, that we are meant to be human. And society hates us for it. But fear not Stacy. You are not alone."

The helicopter landed in a forest clearing and they were met by a heavily built wolf morph who wore green combat fatigues and was armed with a large assault rifle. He escorted them to a large log cabin hidden beneath the forest canopy.

Waiting for them was a company of wolf morphs and a vixen dressed in a high-collared nurses uniform. Stacy recognized her from the hospital.

"Hello again Stacy," said the nurse. "I'm so glad we managed to get you out in time."

"Who are you people?" asked Stacy

"We're your people," said the Brigadier, taking off her flak jacket and perching herself on the edge of a table. "They call us trans-speciesists or pro-sapians when they are being nice. Or skins the rest of the time."

"And there are others who remember being human," said the nurse. We have a meeting tonight, back in the city, and you should join us. But you must keep it quiet. The government is keeping our true form a secret. Our true form under our fur. Come to the meeting and you'll see."

1. Stacy goes to the meeting
2. Stacy is too scared to go back to the city
3. Stacy doesn't trust people with guns and tries to run away
