This was not high on Mertix's priorities list, but it did occur to him briefly, only to be immediately dismissed, as he was drawing up a list of enchantments to check for. At the top were the hexes he knew which induced false memories--frankly, the girl's story still seemed rather ludicrous to him, and he wanted to be sure it wasn't a total fabrication.

  1. Before he went to that trouble, though, he wanted to check with Allaria to confirm the existence of Sir Frederigo D'Honaire.
  2. There were some other types of hexes he was anxious to check for. He went to find Fred, going through them in his head.
