A New Daughter

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 112235

He wastes no time in assembling a humble wardrobe for the girl and getting her some fruit and biscuits, but then she's going wide-eyed with the dawn of the brilliant idea of having a tea party, and he can't say no to her.

By the time it winds down, he's already reacting instinctively to her - smiling fondly at her bubbly laughter, humoring her in every way, and not finding it strange at all when she easily calls him "Daddy." She's nodding off at her spot at the table by the end, and he carries her to her now-oversized bed and tucks her in. Following that are two hours wherein he paces around the house, trying to decide what he must do.

  1. As he doesn't have the first idea of how to care for the girl, he resolves to hire a nanny.
  2. As he doesn't have the first idea of how to care for the girl, he resolves to send her off to an orphanage, and collect her when he's ready to fix her.
  3. He knows he cannot leave her nor send her away. He must simply be the best father he can be, while working on a solution in his spare time.
