Now, Fred-who-was-now-Lilith truly did believe what she was saying. Belboz had kept close tabs on the girl through magical means even after he'd left, and had seen how her memories of her knightly life had caused such turmoil that the marriage would likely be impossible. So with a sigh he had quickly whipped up an outline of a life lived by the daughter of a nobleman and shoved them inside her head, locking her true memories away. What she had now was rudimentary at best, but it was paired with a separate spell that would ensure she wouldn't wonder at any apparent holes or inconsistencies in her past. This also meant that soon enough she ought to be feeling right as rain, and start making preparations to marry the prince. "Ah," said the king, sagging slightly in relief. "Very good, then. Have you met my son Jasper yet, then?" "No, your Majesty, but I cannot wait to do so," the girl responded emphatically, flushing with excitement at the mere thought. "I shall alert him of your awakening." The king smiled, and departed to seek out the prince.
