"Let's go visit the wizard," said Lord Fred. "I remember playing these types of games, and it's ALWAYS well-nigh impossible to succeed if you don't first have the Magical Whatsits of So-and-So. So if this wizard has a Magical Whatsits, we should definitely go see him before attempting the Labyrinth." Link sighed. Zelda smirked. So off they went on their desert journey. Their water supply did not run out, as you might expect, because Zelda had a magically-refilling water pouch given her by her friend, Sprite, the Princess of the Fairy Kingdom, but it was still a tough journey due to the heat, the tiredness, and the sun, beating down constantly. Also there were several nasty snakes and giant spiders and things, but they were easily taken care of by their weapons. By the end of the second day they were all VERY sunburned and miserable, and wanted to go home. And there was still quite a ways to go. (Not to mention the trip BACK...) Suddenly, on the eve of the sixth day, when it was almost dark, Link tripped and fell straight into an invisible hole in the ground! "AACCCKKK!!!" he yelled. "Link!" cried Zelda, getting her bow and arrow ready and drawing a bead on whatever had attacked him. "Are you all right?" Lord Fred looked into the now-visible hole Link had fallen into, and was surprised to see:
