Janeway awakes tied to the chair. Before her is Chakotay, a strange gleam
in his eye and coconut milk streaming down his chin. Then Janeway notices
the strange music that is blaring within the room. It is not familiar to
her, yet the last words strike her to her core: "You're an obsession,
you're my obsession; who do you want me to be so you will sleep with me?"
Meanwhile, in an adjacent room, separated only by polyduranium plating, EM conduits and a respirating duct is Thomas Eugene Paris--currently in a unique position with one of the shipboard 'twins'. "Ooooooh, Tom! That's one mighty gyroscope!" "You know it, babe, I...hey, what is that?" The two stop what they are doing – although the young woman finds it difficult not to wiggle- and listen. "Why I know that," says Tom. "That's music from Earth...yah, from the early 21st century I'd say...its called rock and roll." The twin giggles and catches Tom's attention, "Come on and roll over here." "Alright!" and their null-grav science experiment continues. Two decks up and three rooms over Ensign Harry Kim is longing for home. "Earth.... Earth..... Earth!" he cries over and over and over and over again. Not far from that, in the holodeck the creature Neelix is catching holographic rain on his long tongue. The frills on his high head are drenched and the exposed spots of his back glisten. He is in heaven, or almost anyway. Then, from out behind a tree, walks the impish Kes, her eyes ablaze and her birthday suit shining (and you know how important birthdays are to Ocampans!). Now its safe to say that Neelix is in heaven. Three decks to the left and diagonally forward Tuvok sits with the heavens before him. He sits criss-cross upon the floor of his quarters and the smoke of incense pervades the area. A rythmic beating sounds from the in- wall speakers and his eyes are closed, deep in contemplation. Back in the communications room Janeway is still tied to the chair, and she is contemplating how to get out of there without losing her dignity, her propriety, and her blouse!
